Zagora & Draa Valley Day Tour:
Zagora & Draa Valley day tour is one of the best day tours out of Ouarzazate. The pick up is from your hotel in Ouarzazate towards Agdez, the administrative village after we cross the Anti Atlas mountains and Tizi n’Tinifift pass. The Draa Valley palmary starts here and extends to more than 190 km, the ancient texts say that crocodiles were swimming in it. Along the valley, we see many villages on both banks where locals practice agriculture as their main activity for a living, gathering dates from August to October is popular here. The famous kasbah of Draa Valley is Tamnougalt located on the left bank of the river. Zagora is an administrative center famous for its panel “Tombouctou 52 days”. It was the cradle of the Saadian dynasty that ruled Morocco during the sixteenth century. 18 km far from Zagora, an old village called Tamgrout. Tamegroute is an old religious center; a library of the most precious manuscripts and green pottery factories. 7 km further to achieve the first sand dunes called Tinfou where you can ride a camel or just walk over the hill. Lunch will be in Zagora then return to Ouarzazate by the afternoon.
