An interesting day trip from Marrakesh to the High Atlas mountains and Ait Benhaddou village:
Departure takes place in front of your hotel in Marrakesh or at the famous place of Jemaa El Fna next to Bank Almaghrib (Bank of Morocco) to Ait Benhaddou through the Tizi-N-Tichka pass (2260m) the N9 road.
The destinations are a UNESCO site classified since 1987 where few families are still living there and supported by UNESCO, along the way you will admire the sticking Berber villages in the High Atlas mountains, you will also visit the Kasbahs and the Palace of the Glaoui in Telouet village. 4( km of rocky off-road along the salty valley of Ounila to get to Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a natural decoration for many movies in the area. Walk and cross the dried river with our English-speaking driver to dominate the kasbahs. You will be invited to tea with one of the families.
In the afternoon, drive back to Marrakech via the Tizi n’Tichka.

Ait Benhaddou Tour from Marrakech: What should I know?
PS: Please note that Ait Benhaddou is 4 hours each way from Marrakech, therefore the day tour is a 12hrs and for a full long drive through the winding road of Tichka pass (Dramamine tablets can be useful). Also, note that Ouarzazate is not covered in this itinerary although it’s only 30 30-minute drive extra each way, to allocate more time for the Ait Benhaddou Kasbahs and Ounila Valley scenic road.
